Save Our Sounds
 The Cutting Corporation's Archives Sound Lab was recently featured in a History Channel documentary on the Save Our Sounds project - a joint venture between the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution to preserve fragile and disappearing recordings. It initially aired on December 26 th , 2002 and should be re-run indefinitely.
We are shown transferring a broken disc, making a digital transfer, and discussing how to identify and preserve materials affected by "Palmetic Acid" damage.
